Hello Friends & Neighbors, Happy 2026! I hope that this first newsletter of the year finds you well-rested, with hope and some optimism for the year to come.  I tried to catch up on some reading during the quieter week between Christmas and New Years -- and read "Life After Cars" and "On Tyranny" -- and am mid-way through Jane Jacobs' "Dark Age Ahead".  What are you reading -- and what should be on my list for 2026? Dear Friends & Neighbors, As 2025 draws to a close, I am reminded of a conversation from New Years a few years ago with a friend and mentor. As I wished him an Amazing New Year, he thoughtfully asked me, “What will you do to make this an amazing New Year?” With all of the opportunities and challenges ahead of us in Rhode Island – I am once again asking myself, “What will I do to make this an amazing new year?” And in 2026 -- I am doing that by doubling down on my commitment
